Alsuraya is a 37-metre motor yacht built in 2024, with 12 cabins for up to 24 guests and a crew of 13. Eight twin cabins are spread over the main and upper decks, plus a cabin with bunk beds. The best rooms are the suites: one with a king bed on the upper deck, and two more on the sun deck with double beds. She's a fast boat, with a top speed of around 16 knots. That means less time in transit and more time on the reef, which counts when the best sites are far offshore. Nitrox and night dives are included, and there's a selection of watersports equipment and snorkel gear for days off. Private charters can be arranged with concierge service. The Red Sea offers two quite different weeks. In the north, around Hurghada, divers of most levels explore the reefs of Ras Mohammed and Tiran and wrecks like the Thistlegorm and Abu Nuhas. The south, and the offshore marine parks of the Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone, are about sharks: oceanic whitetips in autumn and hammerheads in early summer. Expect current and blue-water dives, and usually a minimum of Advanced Open Water and around 50 logged dives under Egyptian rules. Alsuraya suits couples and friends who want a new yacht with good suites, groups who'd like the whole boat to themselves, and divers who care about getting to the dive sites quickly.

Alsuraya gave us a very balanced week. The boat was comfortable, the hospitality felt personal and the dive operation remained organised from the first check dive onward. The route itself offered a useful mixture of wrecks, reefs and southern walls, while the guides were careful not to present any wildlife encounter as guaranteed.
Comfortable without losing the feeling of a real dive safari.
I appreciated how calmly the crew handled busy moments. Even when everyone was preparing equipment at once, the atmosphere never became stressful.
Elphinstone had the more exposed feeling our experienced divers wanted. The team planned according to current and surface conditions rather than assuming the same entry would work every day.
