Value

Almonda gave us two very different ways to experience Saudi Arabia's Red Sea. Seven Sisters and Five Corals offered well-known reefs near Yanbu with plateaus, walls and pelagic possibilities, while Farasan Banks felt more remote and island-focused. The boat was comfortable, the diving operation was organised and the team never made promises that nature could not guarantee.

Conditions varied from site to site. Some dives were relatively calm, while others had enough current to require a quicker entry and more careful positioning. The guides checked the water and changed the plan when needed.

Choppy Reef had some unusual black coral formations and colourful sponges along the wall. It was the kind of dive where photographers could easily spend too much time concentrating on one small area.

The crew quickly learned where everyone stored their equipment. By the second day, tanks were ready and the whole preparation routine felt very smooth.
