What it’s actually like
Fuvahmulah is a proper dive destination, not a resort holiday — tiger sharks on almost every dive, up close and shallow, but no overwater bungalows, patchy Wi-Fi and little to do on non-dive days. If diving is the reason you’re going, it’s one of the best trips available. If it isn’t, look elsewhere.

What divers say
18 countries, this is unlike anywhere else. Four tiger sharks on the first dive. Room was basic but I couldn’t care less — I came to dive. The guides know the sharks by sight. Book it.
Diving was beyond expectation. Wi-Fi was terrible, food got repetitive after day four. If you come for the sharks, you will not leave disappointed.
Arrived alone, left with six new dive friends. The guide named every tiger shark we encountered — they’ve been tracking them for years. Small groups make a real difference here.
